A lovely bouquet of cassis and boysenberry with a touch of violets and olives. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused, and a little chewy, with an excellent core of black fruit, good earthiness, ripe tannins, and a long, complex finish. Produced from 40+ year old vines and very low yields.
