Justin Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
From the winemaker: Bright, moderate concentration, and consistent ruby red hues to the rim. The tears are medium thickness and slow to form on the glass. Aromatic with juicy red fruit on the nose, this wine shows red raspberry and black cherry laced with a bouquet of vanilla, soft herbs, and warming spices. On entry, this wine is dry, moderately full-bodied, supple, and bursting with bright red plum and ripe cherry. The velvety tannins are well-integrated among more nuanced elements of caramel, toasted coconut, fennel, and sage. The long finish turns pleasantly savory with floral notes and a hint of pepper. The 2022 JUSTIN Cabernet Sauvignon is remarkably balanced and complex, with a fresh palate that not only invites another sip on its own, but also pairs well with a wide variety of dishes. Try this wine with grilled chicken or burgers at your next cookout or with a classic filet mignon at your favorite steakhouse.

French Reds

Chateau La Grave Clos La Coutale Cahors 2024
80% Malbec, 20% Merlot. The nose opens with concentrated dark fruit — black cherry, blackberry, and blueberry — layered with violet, lavender, and a subtle hint of thyme. Underneath, wet stone and earthy minerality emerge, reflecting the Lot Valley's alluvial soils. On entry, rich black fruit floods the palate — plum, cherry, and blackcurrant — with a supple, approachable texture. At mid-palate, faint oak spice and a note of dark chocolate surface, while firm tannins provide solid structure. The fruit is concentrated without being overly jammy, maintaining a freshness that keeps the wine lively and focused. The finish is lingering and moderately tannic, with cranberry and black pepper trailing alongside a subtle earthy bitterness. A whisper of forest floor and meaty complexity adds dimension as it fades.

Martha Stoumen Post Flirtation Rose
From the Winemaker: Our Post Flirtation wines have been described as “intergenerational crowd pleasers” and Post Flirtation Rosé celebrates the culmination of intergenerational efforts behind the scenes, too. The vineyard source of younger-vine Nero d’Avola for this non vintage blend is both dry farmed (non-irrigated) and employs head trained (goblet) vines. These agricultural practices are certainly not the short-cut to growing grapes commercially today (especially for rosé wines!), but the efforts produce distinctive wines full of concentration, particularly at lower alcohol, and allows the vineyard to develop slowly in order to preserve a longer lifespan. While we adore old, dry farmed vines—and will fight to keep them in the ground—it is equally important to us to seek out and support newer head trained, dry farmed plantings.
